1. The standard resolution for images made for the web is 72.

2. The standard resolution for images made for print is 300.

​

3. One should always be sure to save a .psd file, which is a "working file" that can be altered after saving, as well as a .png or .jpeg file. This is the finished product, and what you might submit for print or publishing.
