With this zine, I hoped to bridge the gap between the personal experiences music can evoke and the universal emotions that connect us. While the beauty of music lies in its ability to be interpreted in a number of ways, I created this piece with the intention of fostering a shared emotional experience among different people.
I believe that the human form can be a vessel for universal emotions. In portraying feelings evoked by music through portraiture, each song is likened to a brushstroke, painting emotions onto the human figure and form. Through the use of colors, shapes, and words, I sought to encapsulate the connection between music and human emotion.
Throughout this zine, you'll see a carefully curated color scheme that resonates with the overall essence of the songs and graphics. Additionally, I gave each page the distinct aesthetic of cover art, drawing on the idea that music's visual identity is as crucial as its auditory one.
