I'm pumped about this assignment! When you mentioned that some of your previous students had animated their pet’s dreams in the past, I latched onto the idea. My roommate's cat is such a character and I’d love to dive into what one of his dreams might look like. I know it’s probably low-hanging fruit, but I really think I could do this in a way that hasn’t been done before. I think it'd be a great way to create expressive graphics and a funny storyline.
I’m thinking the plotline would revolve around catnip in some way - maybe a drug deal gone wrong or something along those lines. I want to make the characters and storyline relatable even though they’re cats, and there are some very obvious ties there to weed. As far as the characters go, I think they’d resemble cats but have outrageously human-like mannerisms and forms. The photos attached to this blog are an inspiration for them.
